Boiled Egg Technique for Chalazions and Hordeolums

Chalazions and Hordeolums are styes that do not go away quickly or easily.  To prevent styes from reoccurring use Warm Compresses and Lid Massage on a nightly basis.  If you already have a stye you can bring it down quicker with the boiled egg technique.  Below are the steps.

1.        Boil an egg
2.       Perform Warm Compresses and Lid Massage
3.       Wrap egg in Dry Washcloth
4.       Make sure egg is not too hot and fit egg against eye and the stye for 30 minutes
5.       To reheat egg just boil again
